Following the opening statements of Mária Schmidt at the second conference organized for teachers participating in the Audio-visual Memory Collection project (26 March and 2 April, 2011) Eszter Babarczy, András Lánczi, Eva Hegyesi Orsós, Zoltán Tarcsa, András Porogi, and Miklós Horváth held presentations and introduced the first film of a sample lesson. Teachers' Conference (video)

2010. October 4.

The first conference organized for teachers participating in the Audio-visual Memory Collection project (27 September and 2 October, 2010) presented the mentoring system, the data protection policy, the website and Internet video archive, and the consideration of gender and minority issues in the interview production process. Training Report

2010. June 14.

On April 15th, 2010 project-related training began for the featured project SROP-3.2.9-08/1/A-2009-0002 – Audio-visual Memory Collection. During the period wrapping up at the end of June, a total of approximately 100–120 persons will be trained. The next training period will take place between August and October 2010. (Unfortunately, it was not possible to complete the training within the originally planned three to five month period ending in June 2010 due to the protracted tendering process in the Central Hungarian region, so it was necessary to hold further training in October 2010.)

Privacy Policy of the “Emlékpontok – An Audio-visual Memory Collection” project and associated video library (excerpt)

2010. May 31.

The regulations shall apply to the Foundation for Research on East and Central European History and Society (hereinafter: Foundation), “Emlékpontok – Audio-visual Memory Collection” project and all persons involved with the project. This policy shall also apply to persons who, based on any form of authorization, are entitled to manage registered personal data, use systems containing such data, perform entry, processing, forwarding, or deletion of data, or perform technical operations or maintenance on the system.

EU tender for the collection of historical memories

2009. November 19.

A European Union tender has been opened for secondary schools for collecting audiovisual recollections of the post-1945 period. Applications are expected from any secondary educational institution willing to involve students and take part in shaping a new methodology to teach history, unprecedented in Europe.
